lingering sadness

*
even though i have made peace with my brother's death, there are moments when i'm overwhelmed by a lingering sadness.

Words can't take away the sadness. Just know you are not alone. Friends like me care. There is consolation in knowing there are friends to turn too.

thanks john. i guess this is the kind of sadness that we learn to live with after a big loss like that. it ebbs and flows like the waves of the ocean. and friends are like little life boats.

A lovely metaphor my friend. Friends are the life boats in a sea of sorrow. Your thoughts are a consolation to contemplate in the ocean of life.

...we all give in different ways. and if my thoughts or art can somehow lighten or deepen another person's day i am deeply humbled and grateful. thank you john for enjoying my little attempts at giving.

Such sadness... borne by the heart alone, as necessary to the soul as breathing is to the body. It is yours only, separated from all else...

It is meant to be in that way, a measure of the inner self.

Love... an energy that exceeds all expectation, overpowers even mind. It is not of thought or emotion, (which are chosen), but of true feeling, which is not quite easily confined.

I can speak only from my own experiences, in having explored those same feelings of sadness to an acceptable end. We all must indulge in such sorrow for the sake of understanding of what it is to be human...
and for the sake of the love, that transcends even that understanding.

I find it important to revisit these feelings often, as it seems to create a more complete sense of oneness, between my being, and my soul. It is surly overwhelming, and I believe it should not be any other way.
For without knowing every part of this, might leave one less than whole.

I cherish the moments that cause such a feeling... they are like the rain that falls upon the garden... allowing the beauty in the flowers, to grow.

Peace
