I don't think we can feel safe in this world anymore. Your words speak of a personal experience and of the larger space we inhabit.

Your paintings suffuse this gazer with gentle feelings. I love visiting you here in your beautiful creations.

here's what that poem and painting is about...you can fake happiness and you can sink into a pit of depression and you can build all these safety "mechanisms" around yourself, but you can never "unknow" something that scares you...once you make that connection in your mind and you realize the sad or terrifying "worlds" that can open up and swallow you, it's like the safety net being removed from underneath you and you're not ready. you know what i mean? (of course growing and making connections can be joyful & empowering experiences too. and therein lies the conundrum. "is it better to know more or less?")

anyway...i loved creating the angel. she started out as an owl. i guess she can still be one, but somehow in my mind she became an angel.
